Running From or Reinventing Yourself?

Every time you move homes or take a different job or embark on a new relationship, you have a golden opportunity to reinvent yourself.” – Jay Shetty

from Think Like a Monk: Train Your Mind for Peace and Purpose Every Day

After moving seven times in the past six years, and with another move on the not-so-distant horizon, one might think I am running from previous versions of myself. I’ve also had several different jobs in various industries. My relationships have changed, and who I surround myself with has improved with time and experience. These life shifts and transitions have allowed me to evolve and reinvent myself time and time again.

I haven’t quite found the version of myself that feels like home yet, the version that is authentic to who I am at the core. I can tell you that these experiences have brought me closer, though, and have ignited an inner transformation unlike any other. The true me is emerging and will shine through very soon.

Don’t be afraid of change, my friends, and remember you can always reinvent yourself. Who’s stopping you?

Thanks for reading my thoughts of the day. 😊 Stay tuned for more posts coming soon!
