Curious for all of my readers out there – do you believe in signs?

I’m talking about those indicators from the Universe, whether small or large, that point you in the right direction. The moments where you feel propelled forward by a single word, a phrase, a song, an object, or whatever it may be because you can’t help but think – wow, this was meant for me.

Maybe they just show up when you are looking for them. Maybe they are always there, waiting on you to see them in the right moment at the right time. Or perhaps you begin to notice and accept the guidance only after your heart and mind are fully open to such clues and signals.

Lately, I have been noticing multiple signs, pointing me in the right direction and showing me that this new chapter in my life is real and happening very soon. Some have been subtle, yet effective. Some right smack dab in front of my face. I feel certain that more will arise as I continue taking steps toward my dreams and authentic self.

Sign #1: Doves

Now, if you’ve read my previous posts, you would know that I have been manifesting and embracing change in my life recently, as to become more aligned with my true, authentic self and find more fulfillment in my life. I am working to overcome my fears about the unknown and forge a new, adventurous path for myself.

With that being said – I have seen a pair of doves loitering about my bedroom balcony. They like to congregate around my hanging plant. Grey and white in color, I assume they are mourning doves, as I hear them coo in the early mornings. For weeks, I had been noticing these doves without a second thought.

It was at work one day, talking with a co-worker, where it dawned on me that I have never seen doves around my residence before. It occurred to me that I started to notice them after shifting some of my daily habits, committing to working on myself, and planning to achieve some of my wildest dreams.

The point of this drawn out dove story? Well, I did some research (thanks, Google), and it turns out that doves symbolize harmony and can often serve as messengers of peace when our minds are troubled or when facing crisis. How interesting…

Furthermore, doves can serve as a reminder to “allow the wind to take you to new heights” (https://www.spirit-animals.com/dove-symbolism/). I just got goosebumps!

I could write an entire essay on the meaning and symbolism behind doves hanging out around your house, but I think you get the point I am trying to make here.

And you heard it here first – I am totally getting doves tattooed on my body in the near future.

Sign #2: Morning Podcast Takeaways

So, this morning I was listening to The Rachel Hollis Podcast, episode 194, and Rachel shared some advice on how to create and sustain change. She proposed the idea of letting something go that is no longer serving you and making one great shift to help move you forward in the direction of your dreams and forming new habits long-term. Some examples include: giving up meat or moving to a new city. The point she was making is that sometimes it takes one major shift to give you that momentum and refreshed mindset to effect lasting change in your life.

Relating this back to my situation, I have been hesitant to make one or two major shifts in order to propel me forward in this next phase of my life. The fear of the unknown and of being vulnerable has held me back.

I felt like this podcast episode spoke to me directly. Almost like Rachel is giving me that permission I needed, or at least the reminder, to take a leap of faith. Make one big change and a ripple effect is bound to occur! I hear ya loud and clear, Rach!

I could list a few other signs the Universe has provided me, but you get the gist. Now that I have seen the signs, will I face my fears and jump forward without looking back, traipse forward tentatively, or remain stagnant in the safety of my comfort zone? I guarantee the latter will not be occurring!
